Interview With Mari Ann Lisenbe, one of the founding members of MLMGoldmine.
Like many people, I was raised to believe a person should get a college degree, and go to work in corporate America. So, that’s exactly what I did, securing a job as a software designer for one of the world’s largest benefits consulting companies.
However, after climbing the corporate ladder for 15 years, often working 50-60 hrs per week and trying to balance in time for my husband and our two sons the rug was suddenly pulled out from under me when my job was outsourced to India.
Determined to be in control of my own financial future, and sickened by what I saw happening in the corporate world, I resolved never to go back. I decided I would become an internet entrepreneur.
I turned to network marketing, but never could stomach the 3-foot rule, or approaching all my friends and family. The whole “make a list” thing was just NOT my idea of how I wanted to live my life. I knew in my gut that there HAD to be a better way!
Thankfully, I met Dennis Karganilla, who was just preparing to launch MLMGoldmine, an innovative training & mentoring program that teaches people how to market over the internet using web2.0 strategies. I became one of the founding members of the “Ohana Family”, as we call ourselves.
Over the last 6-months, our team has used nothing more than myspace and youtube to generate over $400,000.00 dollars in total sales without having to spend a single dime on advertising! Plus, we have generated hundreds of thousand of hits to our websites — using keywords that would have cost us $2-3/click if generated by PPC advertising!
Not only do I use teach these strategies to others, but I also use them to market my primary company – WMI.
My mission now is to empower others who are seeking a way OUT of the corporate world. To let them know that it is possible to make a lot of money , AND have the time to enjoy it, by learning to market online.
My area of expertise is in successfully using myspace to connect with other future business and jv partners. I’m also working on a line of videos to teach marketing “techie” basics to those who have limited technical background. As of this writing… I do not have a name for my product line.
